Mary C. Byrd

Mary C. ByrdMary C. Byrd grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.  After graduating from high school, Mary graduated Magna Cum Laude from Appalachian State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Political Science. In 2012, Mary and her family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska where she began her path to a legal career by attending the College of Law at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.  While in law school, Mary received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in both Civil Clinical Practice and Family Mediation.  Additionally, Mary also received the Outstanding Civil Clinic Student Award.  Mary stayed busy during her law school years serving as the Co-President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Organization and working as a law clerk in the Appellate Section of the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office. Mary received her Juris Doctor from the University of Nebraska College of Law in 2015 and graduated with a concentration in the Litigation Skills Program of Concentrated Study. Since graduating from law school, Mary has primarily focused her practice in the area of family law and has devoted her career to helping those going through legal separations, divorces, and custody actions. In her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
